Position Overview

The post holder will support the company in the provision of a high-quality service. To ensure security of designated areas by carrying out general and specific duties as directed. Your normal place of work will be in Nairobi County. You may be required to travel to neighboring counties to work. Travel costs will be reimbursed on these occasions. Due to the nature of security services, candidates must be aware that a high level of Security Clearance will be required prior to starting. Candidates will need to provide evidence of their valid (latest) certificate of good conduct to be successfully appointed.

Responsibilities

• To carry out general security duties as directed by the client through a company supervisor or his/her delegated representative.
• Security duties involve access control, internal foot patrols, reception desk duties, issue of passes, escorting visitors and contractors, opening and closing of the building, fire control and management.
• This is a customer-facing role.

• Security guard training and qualification – To be provided by the company as per curriculum.
• Able to work in a demanding and busy environment
• Communication skills

The person:

• Must have completed secondary school education.
• Must be between 30 and 45 years old
• Must be holder of a valid good conduct clearance certificate
• Punctual to duty
• Flexible/Adaptable in approach to work
• Smart and presentable appearance
• Friendly and approachable manner
• Proactive approach to work
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work on their own with minimal supervision
• Sets and maintains very high standards of delivery – attention to detail essential
• Driven to complete tasks above expectations
• Polite and Diligent
• Previous security experience will be an added advanted.
